Using the slab technique, Karin will guide you step by step in crafting a unique cup, sharing her process and encouraging creative thinking. No prior experience is required, and there will be plenty of opportunities for questions and interaction throughout the workshop.

Karin will explore how to generate ideas and translate them into physical forms, focusing on simplicity and refining concepts to their essence. You’ll also learn how to find your own visual language, build with multiple components, and refine your work to highlight its best qualities. Surface treatments and shaping edges will be covered as well, giving you tools to elevate your pieces. This workshop will be a fun and enriching experience, perfect for both beginners and experienced potters alike.

Please bring your basic handbuilding tools and any coloured slips or underglazes you'd like to use for decoration. Clay will be provided.
